Answers:
1.
What is the correct layout of the Family Tree?
This is a personalized item, so the layout is really up to you!
There is no exact or "correct" way. As a general guideline, you
may put the parents' names in the heart, then place the oldest family members near
the bottom going up around the Tree to the youngest. Some women choose to
use their maiden name. Middle names may also be used. Some families
prefer to use last names for spouses. (back

2.
What about Title of Occasion?
To commemorate a special event, you may choose any title. Some suggestions are: Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Our Family Tree, Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, Happy 50th Anniversary or To Mom with
Love. (back to questions)
3.
How far back in my genealogy can I go?
The Tree usually represents a family centered from a couple (you,
your parents or grandparents), who are represented in the heart of
the Tree. Descendants from the people in the heart are grouped around the branches. Ancestors (grandparents or great-grandparents), if you
wish to include them, are best placed near the roots of the Tree. (back
to questions)
4.
What do you do for divorced couples?
A sensitive way to handle this is to have one parent in the heart.
When parents have been divorced and remarried it is possible to have
more than one spouse on the Tree. This is common when there are children
from more than one marriage. If a spouse is deceased and there is a remarriage,
you
may wish to have both names on the Tree. The main thing to remember
is the Tree represents your family and its design is your choice. (back to questions)
5.
Can additional wedding dates be included?
Yes, you may add wedding dates and stones representing the wedding dates for married couples. (back
to questions)
6.
May additional names and dates be added later?
Yes! Send us the Tree along with the names and dates to be added.
Be sure to indicate where on the Tree the additions will be located.
The addition process takes approximately three weeks. (back
to questions)
7.
In case of a divorce, can a name be removed from the Family Tree?
Yes, it is a simple procedure. Send us the Tree and indicate which
name needs to be removed. We refer to this procedure as a correction.
Please e.mail us for pricing. (back
to questions)
8.
I made a mistake. How do I make the correction?
Send us the Tree and indicate the corrections. Please e.mail us
for pricing. Of course, if there were an error on our part, there will be no
charge. (back to questions)
9.

shipping costs $40.00. (back to questions)
10.
What is the shipping cost and time to England, Ireland, Scotland,
etc.?
Normal shipping costs $40.00 US and takes 2 weeks. Express Shipping costs $60.00 US and takes approximately 2-5 days. (back
to questions)
11.
Do you engrave a Family Tree in cherry wood?
We tested laser engraving the Family Tree directly into wood,
but discovered that, over time, the wood deteriorated. Consistent
with our mission to only produce quality products, we engrave
the Tree exclusively in the more permanent bronze plates. (back
to questions)
12.
When am I going to be billed for the Tree?
You will be billed during the proofing process. We will need your credit card and expiration date up front so we can complete an order form that goes to the art department. Then they can begin to create your Tree. (back
to questions)
13.
Will you do research on my family genealogy?
No, but we do recommend www.ancestry.com for family research. (back
to questions)
14. There is not enough room to add grandchildren to the online ordering system. How do I do that?
There is a comment or message box at the end of each section. You may add as many family members there as necessary to complete the family. (back
to questions)
15. Are there any charges if an order is cancelled in the proofing process?
Complicated family trees and those that are not sent in via the web site may be subject to a $50 art work charge if cancelled in the proofing process. (back
